I’m sitting over here, texting my dad like ‘this is the car you’re looking for’.
Mmm, yes, that’s it. ‘68 Belvedere four door with a 225 and a 3 on the tree. Doesn’t run, but who the hell cares? $2500.
My dad had a ‘68 Roadrunner with a 383 and a 4 speed as his first car, so he’s a fan of this body style. Would we prefer a 2 door? Sure, but that’s a pretty handsome sedan and I’m kind of on a 4 door muscle car thing so I think this would be sweet with some work.

The 225 isn’t that great in a B body. It’s barley fun in my A body. Ask me how I know. $2500 seems a little high for not running and rust like that. If the rear is like that I don’t want to know what the rest of the underside looks like.

I’d have to concur. $2,500 is a steal if it was running and driving. But I’d try to knock/negotiate another $500 off. It’s not of high value yet because it’s a 4 door, and a 225 (small motor). Also, a B-body like that with a 225 is gonna be really sluggish. School bus slow. But I like it! It’s a cool vehicle.

Yeah totally, $2000 would be a great price...I’m not the type to pay asking price unless its absolutely necessary. I wonder if its actually slower than my DD Land Cruiser...for that matter, is it slower than the Corvair I used to have? These are the questions I’d like to answer by owning that car, haha.

My brother has a valiant with a 225. It weighs probably 500-600 lbs less than this car (2,800-2,850 lbs), and it’s slow. With a good reaction time, runs about 19.2@70 mph in the 1/4 mile. This would prob be a 20 second car. And not have much get-up-and-go (just creep) at over 75 or 80 mph.

So then it is definitively slower than my Cruiser. That is VERY slow.

I took my drivers license test in the wagon version of this, 69-blue-318. Manual steering-manual drum brakes.

The 225, and the 4 doors, are why they are so cheap. Remove 2 doors and put in a 383 or 440 and this car would be worth like $15,000
